As you begin your engagement in A-SCEND, you have the choice to enable or disable our integrated AI features. While privacy and security are top priorities, we want to ensure you understand the significant value these tools provide when used together.
Choosing to keep AI features enabled isn't just about "using new tech" it’s about reducing the manual burden of your audit, increasing accuracy, and accelerating your time to compliance.
Security & Privacy by Design
We understand that data security is the cornerstone of your business. Our AI features were built with a "Security First" philosophy:
Private & Isolated: We use a private instance of Google Gemini via API. Your data is hosted in its own secure, separately encrypted bucket.
No Training on Your Data: Your data is never used to train the AI model. The model remains a "read-only" expert that applies its knowledge to your files without retaining your sensitive information.
Human in the Loop: The AI provides recommendations, but you remain in control. No file is officially linked or submitted without a human user validating the match.
The Power of the Combined AI Suite
When you leave AI enabled, you are activating a multi-layered support system designed to handle the "heavy lifting" of evidence management.
1. AI Evidence Matching
By keeping AI active, A-SCEND automatically scans your previously submitted files and suggests where they might satisfy current open requests.
-
The Value: Instead of hunting through folders to remember what you submitted for a previous audit, A-SCEND brings the evidence to you. It bridges the gap between different services (such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001), ensuring you never do the same work twice.
2. Evidence IQ
For new files, the AI doesn't just look at filenames; it reads the document content and compares it against A-LIGN’s professional guidance.
-
The Value: You receive a Confidence Score (High, Medium, Low) and a technical summary explaining exactly how a file meets a requirement. This acts as a "pre-audit" check, helping you catch gaps before an auditor even sees the file.
3. Cross-Service Evidence IQ
Real-time "crosswalk" analysis maps your existing evidence to new framework requirements automatically. This provides a clear view of potential effort savings, giving you a significant head start on your next audit.
Value: The efficiency gained by transforming static audit files into reusable assets. It is the measurable reduction in manual effort achieved by automatically "cross-walking" existing evidence to satisfy new compliance frameworks, allowing you to scale your security program without starting from scratch.
4. Seamless Transition & Migration
If you are moving to A-LIGN from another provider, the combined AI features analyze your legacy data to map it directly to our Information Request List (IRL).
The Value: This significantly reduces the friction of switching providers, turning what used to be weeks of manual mapping into a streamlined, AI-assisted process.
The Bottom Line
Disabling AI features at the start of your engagement means missing out on significant time savings and the opportunity for a more "self-driving" audit experience. By keeping these features enabled, you empower your team to focus on security strategy rather than administrative manual entry.
However, if you want to opt out of AI features due to various reasons, you are able to do so via the account settings page within A-SCEND
